Farm Journal Media, Philadelphia, announces the transfer of editorial headquarters for Farm Journal magazine from Philadelphia to Mexico, Mo., already the location of the magazine's largest field office. The company also announces the promotion of Karen Freiberg to editor of its flagship magazine, Farm Journal. Freiberg, managing editor since 1988, becomes the eighth editor in the magazine's 127-year history. Charlene Finck, crops and machinery editor, takes over responsibilities as managing editor for the magazine. Freiberg succeeds Sonja Hillgren, senior vice president/ editorial. Hillgren will continue to oversee overall editorial content for the company's magazines, newsletters, broadcast and Internet enterprises from the corporate headquarters in Philadelphia, while adding new responsibilities for overall company content licensing.
