NSW: League legend Steve Mortimer hurt in car crash

Rugby league legend STEVE MORTIMER has suffered a fractured jaw and facial injuries
during a car crash.

The 53-year-old former Kangaroos and Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs halfback was taken
to Bathurst Hospital following the incident.

It happened when MORTIMER's Subaru Outback collided with a Toyota Landcruiser on the
Mitchell Highway at The Rocks .. near Bathurst .. about 6pm (AEST) yesterday.

An 18-year-old man driving the Landcruiser was unhurt.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident and have urged witnesses to
contact Crime Stoppers on 1800333000.
