SA: Rampage of banditry ends with 18-year jail term

ADELAIDE, Feb 26 AAP - A man who went on a "rampage of banditry" has been jailed for
18 years after pleading guilty to a string of robberies and other offences in Adelaide.

In the South Australian District Court today, Judge David Smith said Mark Anthony Taylor,
44, had been in jail serving a seven-year sentence in October 2005 when he was allowed
out from a pre-release centre to go to work.

Judge Smith said Taylor never returned, instead going on a "rampage of banditry" that
continued until he was arrested by police more than two months …
