Vic: Teenage fireman admits to arson and underwear stealing
A Victorian court's heard a teenage Country Fire Authority volunteer torched his formerprimary school, costing $350,000 in damage and clean-up -- then helped his colleaguesfight the blaze.
The County Court has also heard that throughout last year, 18-year-old DAVID WOODFINEhad stolen dozens of pairs of women's underwear, unpegging most of them from washing linesin the neighbourhood of his parent's Beaconsfield home.
It's also heard that on three occasions, WOODFINE also entered women's homes to collecthis booty.
WOODFINE, described as a passionate CFA volunteer and award-winning woodwork student,also made a series of false alarms for fires at his high school so he could impress fellowstudents with his firefighting gear.
WOODFINE, of Officer on Melbourne's outskirts, has pleaded guilty to two counts ofarson, seven counts of theft and three counts of burglary.
The case has been adjourned for sentencing.
